La La Land have all of the ingredients of film magic. Colour, music, dance, soppy love story and reality enhancing effects. Though the story line a little to cheesy for me personally, I have no doubt about it being an all round audience pleaser and academy forerunner. Well casted with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. I also amused to see John Legend appear as a secondary character. Film fall back on solid subject matter as its backbone (when it not lovey, dovey and soppy) which the Hollywood Golden Era and new versus old Jazz scene. It also welcomingly diverse. Enough dark faces, with enough frequency for it to feel like contemporary America. Fun film which take audience to a certain place and leave us feeling really good.
