Boundary pushing piece from Designer and 'poster boy' Tom Ford. From the outset he establish the tone of what to come - opening sequence one where morbidly obese women dancing nude as some sort of bizarre spectacle. Throughout the film we indulged in shocking and uncomfortable plot twist and turns. The combined beauty and monstrosity of this opening sequence art display where I felt the film reign supreme; showing us the double-sided nature of so many facets of life the combination of the beautiful and the grotesque. Film present parallel narrative of beautiful but unhappily married gallery owner (Amy Adams) and script written by her estranged ex husband (Jake Gyllenhaal). Nocturnal Animals whilst at times hard to watch also a complete joy as a piece of artistry.
