Decent, watchable flick. The leads were well cast with Aml Ameen giving the performance of his career. The music, sound system aspect lifted the narrative, inadvertently showing the impact of reggae culture in the UK. I was pleased to see the reference to nine nights and this spiritual aspect of Afro-Jamaican culture. Look and feel of the film felt right for the period and locations the story was set in. I was surprised there were no subtitles. Shows how much Jamaican patwa has become a part of mainstream popular culture. Idris Elba has made a film he can be proud of.
