The 2nd edition of CINÉMA AFRICAIN! in Linz showcases the creative diversity of Africa and its diaspora. This year’s highlights include the book presentation Cinéma Africain: Archiving, Resistance and Freedom edited by Nadia Denton and Sandra Krampelhuber.
The festival presents artistically innovative works that challenge stereotypes, open new perspectives and explore social, historical, and ecological themes. It focuses on questions of identity, colonial history, feminism, and the relationship between humans, land, nature, and spirituality.
Beyond the screenings, the festival offers a lively and engaging program that sparks dialogue and exchange, including Q&A sessions, a special program at Kunstuniversität, and a closing party.
