Impact producing is a concept traditionally associated with documentary filmmaking, where filmmakers seek to forward social causes and create impact through their films on particular subjects. But how can it be understood in the fiction world?
The aim is to explore, through the speakers’ experiences, how this notion can be applied to fiction film productions, looking at how it’s been done, how it can be done better and how it can be measured. How can the notion receive a concrete implementation considering the full timeline of production, from development to release?
We will ask our speakers about the current state of affairs: is the industry really ready to support virtuous practices, and are producers and makers in different geographical regions sufficiently supported to really be impactful?
The panel follows an introductory keynote by moderator Nadia Denton on the definition of impact producing and her extensive professional experiences in the field.
In collaboration with ACE Producers.
